Life's a funhouse

The air was full of the sound of a crowd having fun. Lights in every color of the rainbow covered the trees and the pathways. The world around them offered plenty of opportunities to have fun for a few dollars, and Ed planned to enjoy as many of them as he was able to. He already had his eyes set on the cotton candy cart in front of them, but for ( Read more... )

"It's... definitely colourful." Scor was just a tad oblivious to the way Ed was grinning at him, as he usually was whenever Ed took him to something he'd never had the chance to experience before. He was eyeing the cotton candy just like Ed had been, but the passerby's kept grabbing his attention, as did the bright, glitzy lights. There was just something about being somewhere this loud, this bright, this enjoyable that made Ed even more attractive.

He finally turned back to Ed, grinning widely and practically skipping along unconsciously. "And I think it's brilliant."

He took Scor's hand in his as Scor found new ways to make even walking cute. He nodded, "I know! You've got to admit it has a certain charm. I hope they have one of those freak shows..." He looked around. If there was one, there would be ads, and sure enough there they were. "Say, babe, do you want to have a chat with the Amazing Bearded Lady?"

He was thinking much the same thing. Being in this setting made Scor even sweeter. "Glad you approve it!"

Pulling Ed's arm close to him as he laces their fingers together and squeezes, SCor would even admit right now that he's a figurative fountain of happiness. "Ed, that's terrible! Something like that can't be real... can it?" He gives the advertisements for the 'freak show' a curious glance, eyebrow quirked upward before he glances back to Ed, somewhere between amused and horrified. "I think i'd much rather go on a ride."

Who knew why, but the reasons didn't exactly matter. Scor was just content to be enjoying himself and to enjoy being with Ed. "Me too, love."

If Scor was a literal fountain of happiness... Ed would be perplexed. But he'd think that no other person would make a better fountain than him. "It is, and there's nothing wrong with that! They get good money for showing off all the wonderful traits mother nature granted them. That bearded lady can only show her true face with pride in this accepting environment," he says, at the very least sounding like he believes it. "You liked Disneyland, right?"

Easy. It makes him cheerful enough to skip. How sweet is that!
