i am extremely grateful i drive a small car during these times. it sucks that you have to pay so much. :/ from what i understand drilling in the NAWR has been approved and it will happen, but, it won't happen for quite some time. we won't see the oil they drill from there until a few years down the road. so it won't help out the immediate gas situation. i really wish we didn't have to drill in alaska, it is a shame that we have to drill in a wildlife refuge just so it eases our own pocketbook. however, i understand that the cariboo population actually increased from previous drillings.... i don't know about other animal species but i doubt that it's the same case. i dont know what to do. i want gas prices to go down just as much as the next person, but i hate to see such a beautiful territory and the animals that live there destroyed. life isn't fair sometimes. =(

Yeah you kinda went against yourself there! First you attacked the wrong group then you got the right group! Truth of the matter is WAR is expensive, thats why gas is so high! And no, its not Bush, and yes its the Liberals, But I have a solution.......BLAME CANADA!!

This comment is ridiculous.

How is it not Bushs's fault? As the leader of our country he should be doing something about this. The liberals? How about how the Republicaans are trying to go against the constituation to end the filibuster against drilling in Alaska?

If war is expensive (which it is) then why did you vote for Bush in the first place who fully intends to keep this war going on for quite awhile?

That's what our country gets for not finding a better fuel alternative. Using gas is pointless in this day in age.

okay, whos says that animals arent smart enough to adapt to new habitats... arent people when they get over crowded and realize somthing is happening, what do they do? They move! God instilled animals with scenses too! Why do birds fly down here in the winter time? because they notice there HABITAT is CHANGING, so obviously they are smart enough for that, so why wouldnt they be smart to adapt to a new habitat if they drill in alaska.

you know what?I was for Bush too.. and THANK GOD, because well our counrty would be ALOT more screwed up if we had alot more PEOPLE LIKE YOU vote for KERRY!

"thanks for everything"

Yeah, animals also have the sense into going extinct.

Maybe God should have given you a making sense, sense.

"you know what?I was for Bush too.. and THANK GOD, because well our counrty would be ALOT more screwed up if we had alot more PEOPLE LIKE YOU vote for KERRY!"

That right there justifies the fact that you have no common sense. I'm not saying that if Kerry was president that our country would be a lot less screwed up, but the president is only one office in the U.S. government and in this day in age he doesn't have much of an ability to screw things up. That one goes out to all anti Bush and anti Kerry people alike.

People know this because they are educated and I don't think you can compare the brains and instincts of humans to those of animals.

I'd like to know how you think our country would be if Kerry had been president.
