Im just curious, but why is it that the guy is always the one that has to approach the girl, why can't the girl just take the initiative and approach the guy...sorry if i can't swallow my pride enough to approach this girl, but i don't know i guess im not trying to make any excuses, but im just curious why the guy is the one who has to swallow his

The boy has to do it to show that he really wants the girl, it also is sort of just hot, it shows you have courage and you can learn a lot in that first encounter if you really pay attention. When a girl has to ask, its a sign of desperation because she can't get anyone to come to her, or at least that is the way it is in girl world (which is, obviously, very different than boy world).
