Swearing In.

So during the last election, Minnesota elected the first Muslim congressmen to office. Keith Ellison.  The constitution dictates that elected officials should be sworn in or express some public affirmation to do the job well.  And most politicians are sworn in over a copy of the Bible by tradition.  Jews are usually sworn in over the Old Testament.
