A quick update about finals:  Fluids was hard.  Materials was alright.  Mechanics was eerily easy.  You know that feeling when a test seems like it should be hard, but it isn't at all?  That's what mechanics was like.   The entire time was I thinking, "What am I missing?"

Anywho, I just thought I'd talk about an issue that I know is close to ( Read more... )

My old Windows media player ask me if I wanted to update the other day. I was thinking, oh sure, it's probably just a little security thing that will take 5 minutes, OH GOD it's a new version. After I picked my self off the floor and installed it, it turned out that it was actually kinda cool. I really like the new way they have of organizing, but I'm still looking for the old 'now playing list', because whenever you click on something to play it, it plays every song in the current library page, starting with the one you clicked one. Maybe I just need to start adding things to playlists, but it would be nice to be able to do it the old way though. New interface looks sharp though.

Firefox 2.0 and it's integrated spell checker is the best thing to ever happen. I can't help but wonder why no one has does this before. I feel so much smarter now that everything I type on the internet doesn't have rampant mispellings in it.

Whenever I play things in WMP now, I just keep it in the Library section. If AIM would just have a spell checker, then we'd be set.

I actually found a plugin for WMP that lets you set the behavior of double clicking. It's called TweakMP, and while allegedly for WMP 9, it works exactly the same for 11. Now my double click only plays that one song, just like I like it.
Also, canned air is hella expensive. Where does Best Buy get off charging $16 for two cans of air and a screen wipe? If I don't buy the shit, the heatsink and fan on my laptop get all dusted up, and then the fan runs really loud all the time, very annoying. Methings I'm just gonna use the pancake compressor we have to blow the dust out next time.
