So a little background. The last three days I've been doing an internship program with the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago. Basically the idea is to educate us, the participants, about all the things that the federation does and when we're done they'll give us money. You haven't posted on here in awhile, but I am going to add you to my friends list because this post really jumped out at me. I'm a CNA in a nursing home, and I understand your viewpoints very much. But I can say this...being able to affect even one resident's life has changed my own life. Maybe they are there for people like me, who need to be able to help someone in order to find any satisfaction out of my own life. I credit each of the residents I have helped over the course of the last six months with the fact that I wouldn't be where I am now if it weren't for them.
