The media is biased... towards sensationalism. Bad news gets ratings, good news doesn't. Screamning talking heads get ratings, polite civil discourse doesn't. Give me some broad overlying statistics not anecdotal evidence that wouldn't hold up in my goddamn class.

Fuck that. Sensationalism goes both ways. This isn't cut-and-dry "whatever sells." What about all of the POSITIVE sensationalism reports about the American hero badasses who kill twenty or so insurgents with Jon Woo action? I hear plenty of those from the soldiers I buy beers for in bars on leave, yet I see one, maybe two in my lifetime, meanwhile Google is plastered with a thousand clone articles about Marines who may not have committed any crime.

Your beloved media has an agenda and you won't admit it because it conveniently follows your politick.

Fuck your news. And fuck your class if it's going to be that goddamned ignorant. At least now I know where you're coming from.
