Let me just say, getting a contagious eye infection just as you start your one week vacation really sucks.

I was at the convenience store the other, paying for a 600 yen purchase with a 10 000 yen bill as you only can in Japan (6 dollars with 100 dollar bill, basically), and the clerk gave me 400 yen back. Got my new schedule for the new year, which so far contains fewer kids classes than my current five, which is good for me, I think. Teaching adults is fine, but a lot of the times when teaching kids I feel really insincere. It's not that I dislike the kids...
