Left Kudos at AO3, but wanted to let you know that this is my latest Insta-rec.

Lovely treatment of the common John/Sherlock tropes. :D I loved John's backstory and the whole "bad at relationships" thing - BBC canon as far as I can see - and sleeping with pretty much everyone he's ever lived with is a great take on the "Three Continents" Watson trope (based on the fact that in ACD when he meets Mary Morstan in The Sign of Four he says something about her having the sweetest face he's seen "in an experience of women which extends over many nationsand three separate continents" if you weren't aware ;) Apologies if you were.)

Really enjoyed this and loved the fact that John got one over on Mycroft. :D

Thank you! And many thanks for the rec. I do know the 'Three Continents' Watson trope but I wasn't thinking of it explicitly in writing this...though clearly subliminally!
