Well, I did that thing where I leave fake memories in other people's journals, so here's my post where other people can do the same for me. Rock on.

Another one! Jebus!

Okay. Hey, Megan, remember that time in Key West we found those two young guys who were totally into us and insisted that they treat us to poolside massages, fresh fruit, and serenaded us into the night as we ate fresh lobster by the ocean? That was pretty cool.

Also: I left you a voicemail. You should totally respond to it.

It's a random memory, but the one that comes to mind most readily was the time we were adrift in the salt-water bogs of the former USSR near the city of Narillllsk. Rather than follow your advise and muck our own way through the icy swamps, we took the advise of one of our fellow travelers, a salty old sailor whose mouth was permantly creased in a sleezy leer, and followed his directions to the local tavern. I will never forget the look on your face when you managed to stay atop that mechanical bull for the required 10 minutes. Your hair was askew and your eyes watered in mixed relief and anxiety as you clutched your winnings of 40,000 rubles to your chest and we hurried out to barter a ticket on the next bi-plane home.

I'll never forget back in '69, we were on patrol 12 clicks out of Da Nang when we encountered heavy resistance. Charlie was everywhwere and it was finally down to you, me, Cowboy and Texas Slim who was bleeding like one of those prepubescent Vietnamese prostitutes that Gary Glitter slept with. Texas Slim was blubbering like a little girl and we were almost out of morphine and water. And then Cowboy got zapped. I mean, we hadn't eaten in days and Charlie was everywhere. We had to do what had to be done. I know we agreed never to talk about how we managed to survive, but I'll forget those two weeks outside Da Nang, no matter how hard I try.

Good God, Megan. I had no idea... No wonder you are the way you are.

I must say, that's one of the most utterly grotesque responses I've ever seen.
