I've worked mornings the past few days, and had my evenings free, mostly due to my request so I could watch the American Idol finale. Which, might I add, I am not too impressed with. Ah I read Ondaatje's Anil's Ghost this semester for postcolonial theory and fiction, and I very much enjoyed it. I have never read the "classic" Ondaatje text The English Patient though. I was too turned off by an episode of Seinfeld. Incidentally, I also never read A Separate Peace by John Knowles because Lisa Simpson makes fun of it once. TV is far too strong an influence on my literary life.
