As I peruse my journal's friends list, I usually skip over the entries for the Rufus Wainwright community I belong to. I still love Rufus, and have enjoyed his recent release, but having not been to one of his shows in a few years (and being away from Deanna, iloveyoudee) has diminished the Rufus-mania I used to experience. Lederhosen still equal love, though

I'm glad to see an update so I can see a bit of what's going on in your life! Since our recent contact has been so Lindsay-centered, it's nice to see what you're up to, etc. Your apartment looks so cute by the way. Maybe sometime I'll take a trip up to Toronto.

Life here is - in limbo. I think there are still a lot of feelings between us, but Ann really adamantly does not want to be in a relationship. She wants to be able to do what she wants, when she wants to. We still haven't exactly figured out if the people she wants to see includes me. I think we both know it's a bad idea, but it's hard to stop yourself nonetheless.

Lindsay-centered talks are good, too. I know that it isn't fun to talk about situations like yours all of the time, but when you need to talk, you need to talk. And that's that. So I'll be a listening ear whenever you need it. And I hope you really do take a trip to Toronto - I would love to visit DC, too. Maybe in the spring? I'd love to work something like that out.

Maybe not being in a relationship with Ann right now is a good thing. And if she doesn't know what she wants, you don't want her to just say "Okay, let's get back together" and then all of a sudden change her mind a month from now. That would be even worse than what is going on now. Living together is tough, and kudos to you for agreeing to continue the roommate relationship. The next year will be difficult.

Just don't ever feel like you are less than stellar. Don't reflect this on you. You are fabulous, and always remember that.

It's true Rufus-Mania was so much more special when we had eachother to share it with. But he will always hold a very special place in my heart. I was actually fortunate enough to catch the live performance of him and Ben Folds singing Careless Whisper on one of our satellite channels the other day. I love this cover and was disappointed the few times we saw them together and they neglected to do it ... I guess this was the next best thing.

Your last few posts make me so excited and happy for you and Jordan - this is a huge step and your totally embarking on a wild new territory!! I'm very excited about making a trip up to see you and your new life. Good luck with the move Mama. This Mama is proud of you!
