As for the Kimchi dish, are you talking about the Kimchi fried rice? It's pretty basic. Kimchi, rice, sesame oil, and a tablespoon of butter.

the other thing that i thought was sad is that while the entire setting (spirituality, architecture, everything) was clearly asian, i actually couldn't place the characters among a specific race. so i hoped to see actors from a really diverse range of backgrounds given the chance to play the parts in this movie. yet we get white!aang, white!katara, and white!sokka vs dark!zuko. white = good, dark = bad. yet of all the main characters i thought zuko the most likely to be white.
white katara and sokka is a serious disappointment.
from another perspsective i expected an asian cast because who else can better represent asian-based cultures than those who live them, ffs.

XD Instead, I'm going to see Salt today and forget that The Last Airbender even exists outside of the series. On a side note, I know we were talking about picking up Dragon-Destined again, but I seriously think I want to start an Avatar: The Last Airbender fic now. I need to send you what I have of Dragon-Destined to you once I type it all out again.
