Firstly, I would never shut down someone else's ideas as bunk. I like to think of religion as a bicycle wheel. Each religion had a spoke, and those spokes came from very different places, but as long as you lead a clean life, all ended up at the same place. Besides, I am not so ego centric as to say I am right, you are wrong, blah blah. All that said, let me toss in the athiest perspective. And I hope its not totally offensive, but I'm to tired to think of how to word it with kids gloves

For each religon/faith/path, there are set criteria for specific things, like clergy. Following a native path, I can't just be good at those few things, there is training that goes with it, as well. Showmanship is not something that falls with it. Not directly. You don't need to be able to grab everyone's attention, you just do, because it is out of respect, and awe. Most native holy men, don't like people putting them up on a pillar. That is not what they are after
