Okay, seriously, with all the smut I've been writing, I love reading something totally different and kidfic is what I need. Though I am prepared for any angst that may come with the territory of writing this pairing and their son.

He nodded. "I would expect nothing less. Why have a harem of men backing you up if you're not going to use their rather pedestrian skills to help you out when times get tough?" I love this line just because it feels in character to me for him to say something so snarky.

this is one of those fics where i post it at like 5 in the morning and forget to x-post, i mean, of course my flist gets first eyeball, lol. but seriously, i'm not sure how it's going to work out, so i wasn't completely sure i wanted to post it to a comm yet.

thanks! this is different for me to write, too. i guess kidfic is actually more like my RL so i have been avoiding it :O but we'll see how it goes. i am predicting some angst for sure. there might be some smut, too. just so's you're prepared. part 2 is in the pipe, so it shouldn't be too long.
