i can relate to some extent... my father had a stroke some years ago, and went through a very strange period of extroversion and perversion that made it really hard to spend time with him, especially in public.
he'll never be who he used to be, but at the same time he is still the same person he always was. it's very confusing. for the most part, most of the time he does really well! (and he's improved quite a bit).
i'm so sorry to hear that your father suffers from paranoid schizophrenia. i've heard from friends with family members with it that it's a really hopeless and difficult to tolerate condition. he is very lucky to have a daughter that visits and spends time with him (no matter how aggravating it can be).
I'm actually gonna go skate w/ the Rose City Rollers for the first time tonight out in Gresham! I was just up in Seattle, but not long enough to do anything w/ Rat City. I have a feeling my hubby will end up doing his residency (hoping hoping) out here on the west coast, so maybe if you're still there in Tacoma I can come visit :) What's the Tacoma league called? Do you have family in Beaverton? I was just on the Max riding thru there and it's really different since I was last here...dare I say, actually, nice. There's a new city center and it's looking pretty good. Hillsburrito is pretty much the same though.
