It's when he really came into his own and was a grownup for the first time, and I like how that really comes through in the movie.

THIS. I was really so pleased that David Yates FINALLY let them AGE, and act it, with all the uncertainly and rage and hormones and fear associated with what's going on in their lives. This pleased me an awful lot, and makes June/July a VERY long time away for Part 2.

I can see why they waited to have them age this way - it makes so much more of an impact when they're not all giggly and school-kid-ish. It's like shit got real haha.

I know, the next one is so far, but I don't want it to end, so I'll gladly wait!

I especially agree about the part with the messages at Godric's Hollow. It's been ages since I read the book, but I distinctly remembered that part and kept waiting for it. When it didn't happen, I started to wonder if maybe I was confusing fic with canon again.

Also, someone on my flist was bummed that they took out Luna's eulogy for Dobby, but I felt like Luna owned that scene anyway with her "Don't you think we should close his eyes? There, now he could be sleeping."

Those messages at Godric's Hollow remind me of the ones people wrote all over the signs at Abbey Road, it really pulls at my heartstrings in the book so yeah I would have loved to see them there!

And Luna's eulogy would have been lovely, but yeah at least she closed his eyes. AW DOBBY!

The ministry might be my favorite scene! :D I could not stop laughing because the actors were perfect and hilarious ♥

But yeah, the thing that honestly really really really annoys me is that Ron simply said that Dumbledore knew he needed a way to find them again. I cried so much during this short sequence in the book, because Ron still feels so bad and stuff and Harry goes along AND FIXES EVERYTHING WITH MY FAVORITE DH LINE EVER. Which wasn't in the movie sobs.

I'm still not sure if Bellatrix actually used Crucio on Hermione? Because if she just carved "Mudblood" into her arm, isn't it pretty much the same
as "I must not tell lies", which Harry beared without a single sound? Yeah, that's what I've been thinking about since I first saw it.

Also yeah, the statue and the messages. I found that really sweet and meaningful, showing Harry that people still believed in him :(

LOL the way Runcorn walked was SO FUNNY to me, he was creeping along everywhere hahahaa.

I wish that line was there too, I feel the same way! It's like it's there because Ron says it, but it doesn't count haha!

I don't know, I think Hermione was just really scared hence all the screaming, but maybe she did torture her. I hope not, for Hermione's sake!!

Even with the little things they left out I still loved it. It's the closest any movie's been to the book in ages!

You captured so much of what I was thinking, too. I have seen it twice and will probably go again, but mostly what I was thinking the whole time is, "Man, what if all the books would have gotten this treatment, it would be freakin awesome".

The dancing scene could have been romantic and going in the wrong direction, but it was so SWEET and just friendly. Daniel, Emma and Rupert are becoming amazing actors and did such a fantastic job.

The only 'wtf' moment I had was when Ron was trying to kill the locket and he had to watch H/Hr pratically getting it on in front of him. lol My son was all squicked out at that one.

That line that Dobby says about it being a beautiful place to be with friends DID ME IN. That's how he would have wanted to go, though, saving Harry. ;_;

I missed the plaque at his house, too. But loved the rest of Godric's Hollow. I remember bawling when Hermione put that wreath on the grave.

Yeah I was thinking the same about the books, although if any of them got this treatment I'm glad it's the last one when it really counts!

I agree about the dancing song, the Ron and Hermione shipper in me kind of gave a little jump when the song ended and Hermione just turned away haha.

AWWWWW DOBBY oh man. Him standing there in the sand all tiny and hunched over was what did me in. ;_;

AW THE WREATH! ;'lsdfk;asd

Wormtail's hand didn't kill him, but I have a feeling that may end up in the second movie.

I'm hoping that in the movie Lupin will somehow play a part in Wormtail dying. I think it would be a nice way to tie up the Marauder storyline, and I'd always hoped it would end up with a Lupin/Wormtail showdown.

Wormtail was responsible for Lupin losing his two best friends, I think they need some sort of closure and Lupin needs to see Wormtail get what's coming to him

That would be especially good if they did that with Lupin so we at least see what happens to him in the battle and he doesn't just die off screen like he does in the book!
