She was - amusing enough - a biologist working for a famous activist group. He was finishing his third …or was it the fourth PhD? Anyway ( Read more... )

Cann't you said that I'm a cat person?

Sometimes the love of one's pet can get you through the most difficult of times. I worry about people that say "I hate pets." They miss a very good thing in life.

eso es muy cierto. La verdad es que yo no confió pero ni poquito en las personas que dicen no gustar de los animales o que nunca han tenido algún tipo de mascota. Las encuentro terriblemente crueles he inhumanas.

And that, too, is true. To have never had a pet, or say that you don't like one ... it does border on cruel and inhuman. How can someone say that? Man has lived with dogs and cats for at least the last 500,000 years. Our natures are bonded. They need us for care, and we need them to help us hunt, protect our flocks/herds, and to protect our souls. I think the last is their most valuable contribution. Sure, we needed them for a long time as working animals, but I don't think that anyone who has ever held a puppy and looked into his or her eyes can deny that their heart is not equal to the love of any human's love.
