Along with being totally stressed out about my upcoming presentation, and the lack of a weekend in which to prepare for it, I was cooking myself dinner and...

...I put the butter in the freezer.

Man. Why am I so dumb sometimes? High five, self!

We always put the butter in the freezer (mainly because we buy butter in bulk and don't have room in the fridge), and we keep some out on a small plate on the counter for spreading. The only time the freezer-butter gets annoying is if I want to bake and the recipe calls for softened butter. I end up planning my baking a lot.
