Poor bird:(

In case it ever happens again, I dunno how well this works for non-baby-birds - but when I was nursing a baby starling, the trick was to take a spoon, and pour a few drops of Gatorade down the handle of it into the bird's mouth to hydrate it before eating. Then you gave it some mushy stuff made with apples and corn and whatnot.

Shoot. We have plenty of gatorade. Even if we couldn't get it to open its beak. We thought sardines because arctic terns eat fish, but there were probably better ideas. Next bird.
Some of the science experiments are located pretty far away, out into the clean air zone. In the winter when people go there it can be pretty brutal, so it'll be towed out.

PAX aerothorn August 22 2007, 19:33:10 UTC
So, dunno if you're familiar with it, but PAX is happening this coming weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday). It's grown a lot each year, and with the death of E3 is is possibly the biggest public game expo in the nation - conservative estimates put attendance at 30,000 this year. I know you get back late on Saturday, but if you can rouse yourself to go, the last day of the convention is 10 AM - 6 PM. www.pennyarcadeexpo.com for details. They have a giant exhibtion hall, a bunch of stages with various panels, films and music, and console, pc, and portable gaming areas. Plus lots of tabletop games. I'm gonna go this year definitely, but it's far more fun with other people (I wouldn't even go if I didn't know the Wizkids folk). Plus, HaloClix is premiering there and they have demos all day. It uses the same Clix system as Mechwarrior, but with Halo figures and rules (and the rules are a LOT simpler and easier to learn than Mechwarrior - they all fit on a tiny 3-page booklet). That could be a lot of fun ( ... )

Hey Dylan,
August 25th isn't for sure, and it would be a late night, but it sounds fun. I'll email you before you have to commit. See ya soon.

E
I know you're reading this back safe and sound, it's good to know you are in the same country again. Sorry to hear about Sparky. I liked the ladybug building. Thanks for the facinating info on the disapearing buildings, and for taking the time to post all your adventures over the last year.
Welcome home!!
