Concerts + Job = ?

My job has been majorly interfering with the concerts I want to go to. They don't want to give me time off, because we don't have enough people. But, if all goes well in the next week, I will be seeing:

Forever the Sickest Kids, Every Avenue, The White Tie Affair, A Rocket To The Moon, and Cash Cash at the Majestic on May 14th. I like the Majestic, but it's so hard to get to. It's right off the capital, so the only parking I can find will be in a parking ramp. I hate walking downtown after dark. It's so easy to get lost.

Believers Never Die (Part Deux) at The Rave on May 16th! This was the hardest concert to get off for. My fellow hosts all pretty much asked off for this day too. Allison has her junior prom, Brad has his high school graduation, and Jake has a baseball game. It's so crazy. I'm so happy they aren't making me work. I already spend around $90 on these tickets and I asked off in January.

The Rave is the shitty venue ever. They don't allow cameras, the security is pretty much 100% assholes, and it's in a bad area. I really wish Madison had a big concert venue like the Rave. It'd be so awesome. I'm sure I'd go to a lot more concerts.

I cannot wait to see Fall Out Boy again. I've only seen them one other time, in 2007 at honda civic. It was a really awesome show. And as always, I love seeing Cobra. It's hard to believe it'll be my 6th time seeing them.

Wow, I saw Fall Out Boy last time May 17, 2007. Almost 2 years ago exactly. That's crazy!

The Used at the Barrymore. The Barrymore is pretty awesome. They allow cameras, they have parking across the street, and they sell reasonable priced food. Plus, I haven't seen the Used since 2005. I can't believe it's been 4 years already.

I was going to go see Forgive Durden at The Loft (another awesome venue) but I have to work for about 9 hours straight because it's on frickin' mother's day. Which just happens to be our busiest day of the year. I do have a decent chance of making it on time, but I'm not sure if going to a concert after being on my feet for 9 hours straight is such a great idea.

I'm so glad I'm done with this semester next week. It was the hardest, and most stressful. I just want a nice long break. And plus! Textbook buyback is next week, so I'll be able to save up some money for merch at the concerts. Whoo.

music, concerts, madison, cobra starship, the barrymore, fall out boy, the used, milwaukee, the rave, the majestic
