Holy OUT OF SHAPE

Jun 28, 2006 17:01

So today I ran for the third time in the past 2-3 weeks. Let me just say I am out of shape like WOAH. I was able to run a total of 3.5 miles, which I suppose is an okay place to start. But keep in mind, I am training for Dances with Dirt again, which requires me to run 14ish miles in one day ( Read more... )

do i treat you differently?.......i dont THINK i do ..but sorry if i do - i definitely let you just call me to do stuff b/c you guys are getting settled in still and what not ..plus we're gonna be SO busy in the fall and it will be harder to spend quite as much quality time with L ..so enjoy it now and don't worry about how people are treating you. well anyway - gonna continue researching and i'll see you in class tomorrow. don't forget to ask L if she wants to partake in any of the tubing(either Fri or next Wed), dinnering tomorrow, etc festivities. she has to go ..it will be lame without her! ok well i'll talk to you folks later - <3 Mindy

Awe Chris, I'm sorry people are treating you differently. I'm not married, but some people seem to be treating me different because I am GETTING married. On that note, keep March 31st marked on your calendar. I love you Christopher, all will be well, you just have to give everyone a chance to get used to you being married, it is a HUGE change.

YAY!!!! March 31st. I will definitely be there. You are right, it is a pretty big change. And people WILL adjust eventually. They have to, right?

HOLY YES THEY DID, and sometimes they still do. It was really frustrating at first, becasue I moved away and wasn't very well adjusted in BR yet. Everyone new that I met didn't want to be my friend becasue I was married and apprently that means you can't have friends. All my old friends at home would almost avoid me when I actually came home because they thought I needed to be with Joe all the time or soemthing. It's a really weird double standard, and I'm guessing someone is actually doing it to you? Chances are, they won't admit it if yo uconfront them becasue most people don't even realize it.

Finally I'm at a point were I've made good friends at school who treat me no differently than other people (although it took some time to break them in) and everyone from home is used to it and know that I can do whatever whenever-- it's not like we have kids or soemthing!

Anyway, good luck, and hopefully it all works out. COngratualtions again--it sounds like everything is going well and that you are so happy. :)
