Long time no update. Last time I wrote a serious entry was before DWD. I did in fact survive another year of insanity. Out of the five of us on the team, it looked as if I was in the best shape. So, lucky for me, I got to run the three hardest legs of the race. LOL. However, do not be tricked into believing that any of the legs are easy. They are ( Read more... )

Hey Chris!!

I like these sporadic updates on your life. It sounds like things are going well for you and Lisa, and your dog and cat are so cute!

Things are going pretty well around the ol' Holden and Wilson Halls. Chip left us to go to Brody *tear :(* and Diane is almost through with her radiation. I'm happy this is my last year at the desk, as it is beginning to annoy me. It's funny when I think about you and Molly and Jen and Landon, because you guys seemed so much older when you were here than I am now!!

Glad to hear that all is well at Holsen/Wilden. It's funny, because before I was a student supervisor I felt the same way about the student supervisors - that they were so much older than me. I was watching the Bachelor (sad, I know) and some of the girls are 22 and 23 and they seemed so much older than me even though I will be 24 in 5 months! It's crazy getting older.

Awww, that is such a cute family picture! A couple weeks after DWD, Tony and I couldn't help ourselves when a friend of ours who breeds puppies brought one of them over and kept the little fellow. The deal is that I take the pup to the vet, and Tony keeps him at his place. It's a little Jack Russel (with a little bit of beagle in him) that we named "Cappy" short for Captain Jack Sparrow (he acts like a pirate!)

I'm already excited for DWD next year! I'm moving to Baltimore in January b/c I got the fellowship at Hopkins that I applied for...hurray! I'll still be home to Michigan for the summers though, I'm even thinking about running the Traverse City marathon at the beginning of next summer--you should too! If you can do 15, you can do 26. Only 11 more...haha. Send Lisa all of my love :)

CONGRATS on the fellowship!!! That is so great! Traverse City Marathon eh? It is definitely something to consider. Maybe I could even convince Chad to run it with us. I will consider it and let you know. I want to see pics of Cappy!!!
