when i was a kid (when i had time, and not a lot of friends, and wasn't busy reading 'smart' saving-the-world kind of books) i read a lot of fantasy books, mostly about young girls. and sometimes when shit is completely out of control i drag one of my old favorites out and read it, or even just a bit, and it kind of reminds me of who i am again. so in my own way, i think i kind of hear you about the whole ariel thing.
