That's it folks. Two more exams. One more day of school.

Today was brutal and I thought it would be my easiest exams. Blargh! Over half of the english exam was on the Fall of the House of Usher which was, of course, the only story I didn't review for. The Latin exam wasn't too bad... the ( Read more... )

do you want to know why I love mr. bentley (again)?

because I got a C on the exam, WITH the ten-point curve he gave, and wound up with an A for the semester. not too shabby on his part, eh? so dole out the polar bear love. PB has earned it.

I mean this not as a negative comment towards you, however, did you earn that A? Or did he magically make it an A because he likes you? Not necessarily because you did A-level work for that class and not necessarily because you understand the concepts at an A level thanks to his god-like teaching skills.

Further on that, those of us whom he doesn't particularly like will not be so fortunate. Not because we did worse than you. Not because we didn't comprehend the material as well as you. Not because his superb teaching methods were beyond our puny minds. Not because we didn't do the same quality of work as you. No, simply because he doesn't like us as much as he likes you.

Maybe the above is completely unfair, cruel and horrible. Perhaps I deserve a kick in the stomach tomorrow. But alas, I am tired and a bit frustrated with these situations right now.

actually, you did make some valid points. HOWEVER, if you had gone along with his shenanigans and laughed at his corny jokes, he would have liked you more. I don't think he hates you.

but yes, a lot of what you said was right. now I feel guilty.

I'm sure he doesn't hate me... but he isn't all that fond of me.

Don't feel guilty, you're using the system to your advantage which is what one should do! (Adaptations and all..) However, that doesn't mean the system is good... It's P.B. who should feel bad, not you. :)
