I rather dislike my literary
theory teacher.  She is wrong.  She is very wrong.  Worse than that, she
thinks she's interesting.  She's only slightly better than gangster rap
and if you don't know my feelings on that, I think it's a bit pointless
though I realize some people find meaning in it.  We've covered a good

Well, I agree with your class on one count.

Everything else, however, is part of the reason I gave up on college as something that gets in the way of my learning (it was a bad idea, I'm practically unemployable; so keep at it for as long as you can stand).

My literature theory begins something like this, "There is no such thing as a moral or an immoral book. Books are well written or badly written," goes on to say "art for art's sake" and "if the author didn't put it in, that means he didn't want it there at all or that it didn't fit," and concludes with "if you don't get it, read it again."

I think your teacher would throw me out, too. She'd also throw out Oscar Wilde and Samuel Beckett.
