IC INFORMATION
NAME: Aoyagi, Ritsuka.
SERIES: Loveless.
HISTORY:With a glance at him, it’s easy to ascertain one thing: this boy is abused. That is one of the sad truths about Ritsuka. Growing up-and as all normal boys grow and mature and change-his mother Misaki, took her son’s development as something unnatural. She believed that this was not her “Ritsuka” any longer, that he had changed and was not the same person. His mother had always been a little outlandish in the head, but with her youngest, favorite son growing up and changing, she began to harass him. Ritsuka grew up in a household where he was tormented by his own mother, earnestly confused and bewildered by her accusations, he really had no choice but to withdraw, becoming reclusive and changing into something like a completely different person, while his mother held absolutely nothing back. Her words lacerated him right through, and her abuse left him scars on the inside and out, and he was fine with that. Ritsuka grew to accept this punishment, seeing it fit for someone who was not his mother’s true child. There isn’t any one day where he doesn’t have a bandage plastered on his gentle skin somewhere, or a bruise marring his face and arms.

It was when he was ten when this had begun. Had he believed in god, Ritsuka would have thanked him for one thing: Seimei.

Seimei was five years older than he, and an angel’s blessing. Always there to act as a shelter from his mother’s cruel words and harsh hands, Seimei protected Ritsuka and gave him security. He gave him love, warmth, and hope-everything their mother neglected to give. They were the closest of brothers-nearly attached at the hip, one could say-and were often seen together. Seimei was Ritsuka’s world.

But that world was torn apart when Ritsuka was 12. Seimei was murdered-charred to nothing right in his school classroom, bound to Ritsuka’s chair. The police said the only way they knew it was Seimei was because of a few teeth left at the scene of the crime. Misaki’s outbursts only escalated, and now there was no one to protect him.

That was, until one day after school, he met a stranger.

His old world was shattered, but a new one was built upon the words this man spoke. He was Soubi, and he created a thousand doors for Ritsuka to open.

PERSONALITY:Ritsuka’s a rather awkward child, or well, was. At first he was very distant and cold, uninterested in socializing with other kids. He was obsessed with finding his brother’s murderers, and Seimei was the only thing on his mind. He often asked himself questions he’d ask his older brother, and regarded life as something boring and mundane now that there was nothing for him to essentially life for.

Since meeting Soubi though, Ritsuka began to undergo a transformation.

He began to open up, smile, and gradually make friends. Once closed up, he’s now far friendlier than he had been before. In fact, he’s actually quite adorable and very bright. Ritsuka is extremely inquisitive, asking questions and searching for answers; treating life as it were one big mystery and it was sutured to fit his exact person, looking for answers in the meaning of words.

Yuiko was the first friend he made in his new school, who’s now his very best friend. The girl has a crush on him, but it’s safe to say Ritsuka’s probably more inclined towards Soubi. While the man is nearly eight years older, their relationship is one that’s very... complicated. There are several layers to it, but the top is quite easily perceived: fighter and sacrifice. They belong to each other, and cannot live apart. Soubi’s advances-kissing, hugs, whispers of love and warmth-all serve to entice Ritsuka and make him confused about what he exactly feels towards the older man. The boy, while only 12, doesn’t seem to find anything wrong in kissing another male, or hearing the words “I love you” over and over nearly every day.

Though overall, Ritsuka’s a normal child. He enjoys running, playing video games, and hanging out with his friends (even if one’s a creep). Despite the hardships he’s gone and going through, Ritsuka is warm-hearted, and as a result of it, mature beyond his age. He’s had to grow up fast, but his core is still innocent and untainted, like a soft rose bud.
