For What It's Worth

There's something happening here
What it is ain't exactly clear
There's a man with a gun over there
Telling me I got to beware

I think it's time we stop, children, what's that sound
Everybody look what's going down

There's battle lines being drawn
Nobody's right if everybody's wrong
Young people speaking their minds ( Read more... )

Well, it's got to be clear that they have no idea how silly this looks.

How much it empowers the critics...how much it undermines their assertion that what the critics say are unimportant and should be ignored...and it is interesitng to see who isn't on the list.

It looks silly. At the same time, if the public critics can back up their criticism, it will prove that USGL is not taking responsibility for their actions and are instead "silencing" people. USGL may be able to prove their case if the recent "martyrs" cannot/will not prove theirs.

USGL may be able to prove their case if the recent "martyrs" cannot/will not prove theirs.

And if that happens, USGL will look like idiots for promoting these people into positions of power in the first place. They lose either way.

Sure there is. You don't think you and I are what this is all about, I know, bro. Neither do I.

As one of the "silent critics" (of a degree so high it would scare the bejezus out of the bosses) confided to me, there is a poisoned atmosphere in the Order, and an almost desperate denial by the management.

Anyone who notices the king is naked and says so is likely to get whacked, or whipped into line.

This is usually a precondition of collapse.

I do not underestimate the ability of upper management to intimidate and bribe.

But I don't have a good answer for you, bro.

Maybe the ego-boo or the years put in or whatever makes them too afraid to speak out.

If they did, well...I have no regrets, but they do see what has happened to us, and will happen to others very soon, I think. Maybe its just a failure of Will. I'd like to think otherwise, but I listen to them rationalizing about their oaths without thinking what the oaths are *primarily* about, and I just shake my head.

They are *unduly* under the influence of one person...or perhaps two.
