[The videocam on her communication device flicks on a moment the green-haired girl in a sailor fuku arrives in the city, lying prone on the floor and not really looking in terribly good shape. She's wounded pretty much everywhere, looking more like a target board for a darts game than the sailor soldier she actually is. She gives a weak gasp, and

[ Tod sensed her. It was a curious feeling, really, seeing how he had got accustomed to not feeling any immediate link to most of the citizens in the City. However, in the very moment Neptune sat foot within the limits of the City, he felt her. He felt her life slowly sapping away and he was by his side almost before he could question wherefrom he knew her. Surely, she was not from his world.

He did know her. The name slipped from his lips like a soft whisper. ]

Sailor Neptune.

[ Standing next to her, he looked down at her crumbling form. His arms ached to reach out to her. Relieve her of her pain. Death could be the sweetest relief~. ]

Are you ready to face death~?

[The world was fading around her, or her senses were fading to the world. But in the creeping darkness, he stood out clearly.]

You.

[It wasn't a question, or an accusation. It was an acknowledgment. A note of recognition. Even if he looked so different from what she might have imagined, there was no mistaking him here, in this moment. She had known, then, that she would meet death. And so she chose to meet him proudly.]

Death has walked close beside me since the day I accepted my mission. And in my dreams before that. In that light, when I was prepared to take the lives of innocents, of course I was prepared to forfeit my own.

[Her death had been for Haruka. That alone had made her decision worthwhile. Whether or not she'd succeeded in anything, considering she couldn't recall actually dispatching Eudial, that she hadn't seen Haruka safe...]

[ It was not often Tod met someone as aware of the boundaries of life as her. Raising his chin a bit, a smile of victory curled on his lips. This one... this one would easily give in to him. She was ready. She would know his gift when it met her. ]

Then surely I shall let you wait no longer~.

[ With that, he bend down, cupping her face in his hands and hoisting her body up, as easily as if she weighed nothing more than a feather, until they were face to face. Inches apart. He looked into her eyes, something about him softening around the edges. This was his calling. His blessing to share. ]

Do not be afraid.

[ His voice was soft. Tender, almost, if you did not notice the edge of husky, mocking amusement. He did not expect her to fear death, but mortals had a strange way of surprising him with their changing emotions.

Tod leaned in, closed his eyes and pressed his lips to hers, feeling the last sparks of life in her body flicker and die out. ]

[Haruka abruptly looked up from her stationed position as the wind carried a familiar scent accompanied by a violent sway of nature. The winds were informing her; something was going on. She was getting a bad feeling from it. Rushing towards the suspicious area, it wasn't long before she spots two figures in the distance.

Before she could call out, her eyes widened in shock to see who was lying on the ground. The blonde quickly transformed into her sailor suit when she saw what the man was doing. Anger burning inside, she unleashed her attack, an energy ball in the shape of a planet towards the suspected enemy.]
