It's all done. We've done what's needed. It works as it's supposed to. Thanks to Lissar, Ironhide, Cheetor, Hoist and Grapple. Now what we need is a lot of luck. It would be too much to hope for that Nemesis Breaker hasn't reached them yet; that he's still too far away. After all, Unicron might just intervene enough to vector jump Nemesis Breaker

Well. Ironhide isn't. And Bob is... Well. Something happened to him.
And the spacebridge seems to have shut off from the energy discharge.
Better that than it exploding on them all.
"Okay. Head count. Who's present? I'm present. And Lionizer is too."

"Present," says Ironhide, and makes an effort to settle himself against a supporting girder. Lissar does not need to see him swaying with the effort of keeping his legs in line.

"I don't feel so good," says Bob weakly before crumpling into a heap on the ground.

After straightening him out, Ratchet turns his full sensors on the temporary form. If he had lungs, he'd suck in a lungful right now.
"Optimus! He's disassociating - his integrity with the body is coming undone. We're going to lose him unless we get him out and back where he came from!"

"By Primus!"
Dot is going to slag all of them if Bob dies.
And he can't speed Bob back to Autobase simply because he has no alt mode. Not that Bob would fit, given that Rad's body is too small even with an alt mode.
Dammit why did he have to be so enthusiastic about the nucleon?
"Bob! Can you hear us?"

So he stares worriedly at him and says, "Yeah, don't worry, we'll-- we'll getcha back...." (Well, he sneaks a glance or two at Optimus Prime. Hopefully they can meet up later and not have to discuss Bob's untimely demise.)

There's a brief moment, and then Optimus says, "That's all right, Ironhide. I do." He reaches down and takes up the spark that is Bob in both hands, then turns towards the outside door. A panel slides open in his chest, and the spark of Bob is nestled in there, against Optimus Prime's.
And then he's running, and in mid-step transforming into his alternate mode; the sound of his horns announcing his passage echoing as the doors slam open, letting him out of the Special Project Zone, heading for the door to Milliways, hoping he makes it in time.
Ratchet watches this, then shrugs and looks at Ironhide. "Brought a flatbed, just in case. We'll get you on it, then the rest of you climb on and we'll head on back."

"Lissar?" he says as he props himself up as far as Ratchet will allow, in preparation to get on the flatbed. "It's not as bad as it looks..."

That's not a question. As soon as Ironhide is settled on the flatbed Lissar scrambles up next to his head. She's not hysterical anymore, and she's not weeping, but the skin around her eyes is tight with worry.

But seeing those cannons in real action has shut him up. Also, Lissar doesn't need more excuse to worry.
Silently he climbs up onto the flatbed, hoping Optimus managed to get Bob to safety in time and wondering how in Primus' name he'd ever restore his damaged transformation circuitry and restore his alt mode.

"See you back at the bar - beast mode!" The catbot becomes a cat. His paws have barely touched the ground before he's sprinting at full speed after Optimus Prime.
Nothing personal, Ironhide. But you did say you were fine, which gives Cheetor free license to indulge in his curiosity about Bob.
