The language of heaven isn't understood by any of us, that's why we cannot express it. Of course, trueness does reveal itself through gut feelings, intense emotion, etc. The problem is that sin keeps suppressing whatever understanding we grasp of this different sphere.
And you're right, understanding is ecstasy, and returning back to "normal life" does suck.
