how do people do this?

How do people wear glasses? How did I ever wear glasses? Seriously. I'm wearing my new glasses and I think I'm going to throw up. Not having the lens right next to my eye is weird. No peripheral vision, what seems like warping at the edges of the lenses, and the damn frames are in view. It's kind of like looking through a fish eye peephole ( Read more... )

When they had me wear glasses when they were trying to figure out the cause of my migranes, I had the same experience, it just takes some getting used to.

If you were to wear them for a couple of weeks, you wouldn't even notice the frames or the weird perspective anymore.

What DID used to give me a lot of trouble was when the nose piece was adjusted incorrectly. Be sure they're pinched the nose pieces to the right width, otherwise all the weight is on either one side or the other and you get nasty painful red marks.

I admit, it's not a walk in the park, but for me it's the only option. If you gave yourself the time to adapt, they'd just disappear into your daily routine.

Good thing my contacts should be in later in the week... because this is not something I'd like to get TOO used to.

And I don't have to worry about the nose piece being weird. I was flat out told no wire frames or square frames... the weight would be too much. Basically, it sucks and I am such a contact lens girl. I don't know what I would do if I couldn't wear them ever again.
