Maybe I'm just cranky lately. Lord knows entering the downside of my 30's hasn't been the most joyous of experiences. I'm no more or less out of shape than I have been for the past five years or so, but I'm starting to feel it more. It just takes more effort to get my body up and running when I need it. Haven't seen the film yet... but having seen the trailers, the noticable CGI during the chase scenes gave me the same "ugh" feeling that you had.

Same thing happened during the King Kong remake... chase scene occuring next to an obviously CGI'd "cliff", taking all the tension away from the scene.

If I get a chance to see it, I'm probably sure I'll end up having many of the same problems you had with it.
