Last night were round one of conferences. I know it makes a lot of sense to have the school off on the same day, but it is so draining to have conferences at night and then teach the next day. next week will be worse since they're on a Wednesday night. I miss the days where we had conferences on wed. night, then all day thurs. and thurs. night

I've always heard a year to plan and at least a full year to build. Hopefully it won't go too slowly. It will be nice when they break ground though. It will be fun to watch it progress over the construction process.

I want them to get started on the emergency services building. I'll be driving past it 4 times a day so that'll be really interesting.
