A candy thief? Why would someone want to steal sweets...?

Ruca stood there in the crowed as the little thief shown herself. Well, even if she stole only candies, a theft was still a theft.

"M-miss!" He really didn't like to yell, but he had no other choice if he wanted to get the girl's attention.

\o/ At least it's fashionably so~ Plus I think I owe you a post in the ooc...

Anise almost didn't notice him calling out to her above the whispers of the crowd. Curiously she peeked down at him as he called out to her. What could he possibly want from her?

Okay... First of all, he couldn't get to the rooftop since he was bad at climbing. If she started to run, he wouldn't be able to catch up to her - he was way too slow. And, by all means, he couldn't fight a girl!

In other words, the only thing he could do for now, was to try to persuade her...

"M-miss, if... if you returned the stolen goods and apologized, I'm sure you could avoid getting into trouble." It didn't exactly sound convincing though.

"Now why would I want to go and do a thing like that~?" The devil asked as she grinned from above.

"I'm having way too much fun doing this~"

But for your efforts she'll be dropping down a lollipop for you to enjoy. Hope you have good reflexes♥

What could possibly be fun about stealing things from others and getting into a trouble? He had no idea.

"Miss-" He was about to try convincing her again, but then the little devil dropped a lollipop, successfully distracting him.

In one moment, (despite having a rather poor reflexes) he somehow managed to clumsily catch the candy, then quickly looked up again to see if the girl was still there.

Who said she was going to get in trouble~? If she kept her identity secret(looking at your fail, Luke), she would have no problem blending back in.

Oh course after successfully distracting him with sweets, Anise disappeared again. The crowd pointed and shouted that she was getting away.

"W-wait!" He cried, trying to chase after her.

Unfortunately, he was too slow and after some time he had to stop to catch his breath. He was really pathetic when it came to running.

...He was sure she got away by now.

Or maybe the little devil is stalking you now~ Quietly she followed him from the allies, making sure no one spotted her in the process. When he stopped to catch up on his breath she knew that was the time to 'strike'. Anise got close enough to surprise him from behind, though she was far away she wouldn't get hit or easily caught

"Boo~!" Anise whispered softly, a wicked smile spread across her lips as she sized him up.

Since he didn't expected that, it was more than enough to startle him. He quickly turned around to face the little thief.

"It's not funny at all..." He muttered, sounding a bit defeated.

A soft 'boooo' escaped from the girl as she crossed her arms.

"Yes it was, your sense of humor is probably lacking." She said with a small pout.

"...I don't think it has anything to do with that." He answered. Well, in fact he was told many times that he has a rather poor sense of humor, but that really wasn't the case here, was it?

"How would you feel if someone sneaked behind you and scared you?"

"Depends on the person really~" She answered thoughtfully "If it's a friend it'd be ok~ If it's a stranger, I would wonder what they were thinking~"

Anise then gave the boy a thoughtful look.

"So why did you chase me all this way~?"

He blinked. Wasn't it obvious?

"Huh? Didn't you stole candy from the townspeople? ...It wasn't anything valuable, but still... As a member of the guild I can't just walk away and pretend I've never seen anything." He answered.

It might be only candy, but still... stealing was bad - no matter how silly it sounded. Of course, he could understand that some people were stealing, because they had no other choice, but this girl here, was doing this because she apparently thought it was fun.

He sighed.

Wasn't there anything he could do to convince her to stop this?

"Ah, but you don't know the real reason~ I just say it's fun because I'm enjoying what I'm doing♥" She told him before motioning for him to follow her. Anise moved quickly, looking around at the buildings before finding the one she wanted. She then placed a few pieces of candy on the doorstep before knocking, the girl then ran away as fast as she could tugging the boy to follow behind her.

"Now watch." She commanded as a young mother dressed in rags opened the door, looking at the doorstep in surprise. If they listened close enough they could hear her call to her children, the little ones looked more than excited to see the gifts the little devil left behind.

Seems someone was playing robin hood.

Ruca hesitated for a moment before he followed the girl. Soon, it turned out she led him near the small house, where a poor mother with children lived.

As Ruca observed the whole situation, he couldn't hide his surprise. So the girl wasn't stealing for herself but for others...

"...So that's your reason..." He said quietly. It seems he really misjudged her after all.

"So what's your name~?" She asked, her smile melting into a more devilish one as walked around the boy.
