If it makes you feel better, there's no magic for me at Christmas either. The only kind in the Fenwick household is the sort that's more about family and less about wands.
That does make me feel a little less alone. ^^' What about pets, are you allowed those? My mum had a bird when I told her about my pet rat.
Eh, not looking forward too it too much. I'll see my gran and some cousins and my siblings, whom I like all of, but my parents can be unbearable about magic. I try to stay in the same room as my grandmother during family gatherings, as she will shame my father if he says a thing about magic.
Well, I haven't any pets to bring home. But there is Fortinbras, so my mum and dad are alright with dogs, obviously. And I don't think I've had the pleasure of meeting your rat.

My da makes snide remarks. Like "So how many card tricks did you learn this month?" My mother doesn't say anything about magic, really.
