A little late, but here's the 2008 end-of-year round-up writing meme.

A Life Interrupted [Gen. Rowen, PG]
My favorite of my own stories this year: Bonds of Trust It's my first wee!chester fic, and I think I handled the kids pretty well, considering. Also, I introduced some OCs, especially my fav. OFC, Teresa, who were well-received and seemed to flesh themselves out quite naturally. I did start the fic in 2007, but I wrote most in 2008. Also, I got so many reviews on it, and I really loved my villain. So yeah, I love that fic.
My best story this year: That's tough! Clearly I think Bonds of Trust is up there, it was definitely the best received. However, I think my RW fic A Life Interrupted was one of my best. I finally was able to characterize Rowen's father in a way I liked.
Story most underappreciated by the universe, in my opinion: Her Better Half I wrote this for an episode challenge, and you don't see many of those 'what-happened-to-possessed-people-after stories, so I thought maybe people would read it. Apparently these stories are rare for a reason. Also, Road Too Dark to See. I wonder if Teresa being in it scares people, but trust me, there will never, ever be a John/Teresa sexin' scene. She sort of despises him.
Most fun story: Um yeah everything I wrote was angst, so... A lone daffodil because I had fun writing it.
Sexiest story: I'm gonna take a page out of kroki_refur's book and substitute 'sexy' for 'angst'. A Charmed fic should probably win this, but I can't help but go with One of Their Own. The hunters' grief over Steve, and then Teresa realizing that Sam killed him and trying to figure out what to do... yeah.
Story with single sexiest moment: Again, angstiest... A lone daffodil. OMG, Sam's stream of consciousness is a terrible ball of angst, and when Jess dies... just forget it, it's done.
Hardest story to write: Her Better Half the multiple-personality thing is rough. Trying to explain Samm's justifications for her actions was difficult, and the scenes where Samm hurts people, and then Abby's responses too. Not to mention the time jumps. Ugh. And to think I'm considering a sequel, I'm crazy.
"Holy crap, that's wrong even for you" fic: I'll have to go with my Charmed fic In His Shadow. Chris!Source's sexual innuendo throughout was creepy enough, but then when he bites Lena's shoulder... like... WTF is wrong with me? Incest is becoming too much of a theme in my Charmed verses.
Fic that shifted my own perceptions of the characters: All of my Charmed fics this year were written to develop Lena's character, but the ones that really did that for me were Destiny's Troubled Path and In His Shadow.
Biggest disappointment: I'm pretty satisfied with my work, but Gone did not receive any feedback, and I read it and it just doesn't do much for me.
Biggest surprise: In Memory. A Smallville/Charmed crossover?? Where did that come from? Not to mention I wrote all of it in one night. Crazy.
Most telling story: When I wrote Bonds of Trust I did it with the intention of not letting my dislike of John color the story, but at the end, he still became a jackass, so I guess that shows what I think of him.
What's next? Next up is a SPN season 3 AU where the boys pick up a slightly-insane hitchhiker. I have some ideas for a couple of Sam-abuse fics. And then my latest epic, yet another season three AU, this one where the spirits of the dead psychic kids torment Sam and we learn where a demon-infected kid goes when he dies.
