"Sex and Violence" comment
Short comment about tonight's SPN ep, not the whole review which I will do later.
OK, I didn't want to say it before, but does someone on the writing staff have something against Sam? I read a couple of reviews and will probably not read many more because jeez, that argument scene was just all kinds of wrong. The season's been soooo Dean-heavy, and then in their argument Dean's just all "you never tell me anything anymore!" while Sam just says he's weak and whatnot.
So what, now we're to imply that after all of those scenes with Dean crying on the Impala that Sam just rolled his eyes and got back in? Admittedly eye-rolling is my general reaction to season 4 Dean angst, but c'mon, this is Sam we're talking about. This is the guy who felt bad last week about that random bully he beat up once because years later the guy offed himself! Really now writers, what were you smoking when you were coming up with the dialogue for this ep?
They could've made it less one-sided, have Dean yell at Sam for not being able to save him or a million other issues he probably has rolling around in his head somewhere. There's been Sam-bashing a plenty on the comms and this is just one more nail in Sam's "selfish-bastard" coffin.
Oh Sammy, my heart goes out to you dude.
