This was a really great look into Peter's head after the S3 finale. His pain at Nathan rejecting him seemed so real here. And I love the last line:

Because if he didn’t then he would have to acknowledge that he only wanted it because it was Nathan’s, and Peter didn’t know when he could or would be near his brother again.

Ah thank you! It's interesting to start writing a new character, but I really thought that Peter had a lot to angst about after that episode. I'm glad you liked it, because I'm still trying to get a handle on writing Peter and it's good to know that the characterization worked. Thanks again!

*sigh* i love Peter so much and his thoughts here were thought on. his love for nathan is just so...so...pure... i hated nathan in the "villians" finale, as much as i love him and i felt incredibly sorry for peter. loved this, another addition to my memories :)
