Can I take credit for being the first one to think of this or not?:
Piggy's glasses were a major symbol in The Lord of the Flies. What about Sawyer's? Is he Piggy? Will he be pushed off a cliff by Jack? (Actually, I think it was Roger, but...) ;p

I think the glasses symbolize Sawyer's changing nature. He's becoming more intelligent and less belligerent. It also puts touches of docility (is that a word?) in him. The expressions he made were so adorably self-conscious...an emotion he hasn't displayed as of yet.
