We had a wind-thunder-lightening-rain storm this afternoon. Blew down a tall Leland cyprus in our yard. It did not drop quickly, but slowly over a ten minute period worked its way down as the wind beat on it and the saturated ground gave way. It was the tall evergreen behind the water lily pool. It fell back across the alley. It left undisturbed where the kitties are buried, thank goodness.
I dung up the tulips and a clump of flags (wild iris) from the root wad today.
