She paused, noticing the door had drifted open. She'd thought she had closed it... She closed her textbook and frowned at it.
When she went to close it again, Harriet thought she saw something white go past her. She turned quickly, surprised.

Looks like her. He pondered to himself. Hard to know I can't talk around here, but she might not realize which cat Artemis is... Swishing his tail lightly, he continued the charade that made him appear to be like any other pet. Artemis was not one to be first in volunteering information and showing hands.

She wondered who he belonged to. Surely if he was Liz's she would have seen it by now? He was on her bunk, though.
Maybe he was a stray? No, he looked far too nice for that. She noticed the charm, and nodded. He definitely belonged to someone. Would it say who on the charm? That could be just a dog thing, though. Harriet remembered that one of her neighbors had a ton of cats, and they didn't have any nametags.
It was worth a try, though. She approached the cat slowly, so he wouldn't run or scratch her.
"Here kitty," she called, trying to sound soothing.

Kitty? Artemis smiled. I guess I've been called worse things than 'kitty.' Playfully, he patted the bed with one paw, unable to contain a light chuckle. "Here, human." He took a moment to clear his throat by coughing into his paw, as he was fond of doing. "Artemis. The name's Artemis. I'm assuming you're 'Harriet.' Happen to know where it is Liz scurried off to?"
