Thanks - I thought I'd read that you got one at some point. I plan to have the thing a long time It's like... Sporty-dad-mobile. Cool enough to drive to the club, yet 'family' enough to stick a kid car seat in, or go on a road trip/vacation. The perfect vehicle. ;)

I love it. The big, comfy feeling of driving an SUV, but it's smaller and quieter than the average one. It's also got cruise control, which will be nice considering the miles I'll be putting on the thing traveling state to state. I finally have a car with an actual CD player! (my last beater had am/fm only, the mitsu had a cassette :P) I can finally listen to those gossamer CDs while I drive. ;) My only concern is budgeting the payments out over the next few months while I take a (temporary) pay cut. Fortunately, my payments don't start til June.

congrats yay!
did you get the 2007, the newer model that's bigger? I sort of liked the smaller one. i have a matrix myself, hard to believe it's 4 years old now. that car will run forever... if you want to, you'll have it much longer than the 6 years!

The new 2006 model is bigger than the 2005, in fact it's pretty similar in size to the mid-sized suv. It's got some more horses under the hood, too... it's verrry niiiice. Expensive, but nice. :) I wanted a 'big-small' suv, if that makes sense. My big frame needed something larger and higher off the ground than a car, and with me travel nursing, it's my 'moving van', too. I wouldn't have spent so much but, yes, I know I'll have it forever(I only buy Japanese/foreign, they're 200k+ mile cars), and I got *exactly* what I wanted. Now if i can just pay for it, keep it clean, and keep gas in it, I'll be alright. ;) I had both a Celica GTS(opoor man's supra) and an old corolla - both lasted forever, the engines never gave up, the bodies did.
