Moonlight Verve
Of lemon and lime
Effervescent starshine
That sparkles sublime
Bubbles fly and pop!
And rise to the moon
But there's not enough room for this balloon.
There ain't enough air to spare!
For once they reach the top they shatter,
Upon a diamond spattered floor, they gasp for more.

To you?
It's what I love and hate about poetry -I read into it from my own experiences and find my own understanding of it...but I still want to know if thats what the author intended or if I'm misinterpreting...I studied english and uni for one year before chucking it all in (I was young, so very young...and stupid) and this helped me find even more pints of view and even more different ways of interpreting! So much to see, not enough eyes.

I was doing an Advanced Diploma in Professional Writing at TAFE earlier this year, getting like A's and B's, and then I couldn't handle the pressure of handing in assignments + lack of motivation so I quit. I sort of regret it now, sort of don't. Lol. I can't make up my mind on much lately.
Anyway the poem to me was about the rise and fall of fame, portrayed through a glass of lemonade. That was what I was trying to achieve anyway.
