Australia Trip

Aussie friends! I'm doing some pre-planning for the trip assuming everything goes off without a hitch. Right now I'm 85% sure I can swing the monies to do this, but I'm still not 100%. I'm going to need places to stay other than hotels to keep costs down where I can. Obviously if nobody can put me up I'll stay in a hotel, no big deal ( Read more... )

Mayhaps, but I'm not down there yet so it seemed prudent to stick to the standard from where I'm posting it. Rest assured, I'll flip everything when I'm down there and then flip it back when I return. :P

You're welcome to stay at mine with your friend:) We will have the downstairs room free by then and plenty of mattresses and good hospitality ( ... )

Woot woot! My plan was to fly into Cairns before everybody so I could have some time to see about going scuba diving on the barrier before you guys arrived (since I'd need a day between diving and flying anyway per guidelines). Or are you saying the plan is that you fly to Cairns, do the party in wherever, come back, then chill in Cairns for a few days before flying home?

Ash, my partner and myself also have a spare room. We have our own place. You would have to bunk with your friend though, only one double bed in the spare room :)

Thanks! As for the single bed, I think one of us can take the floor. Or a couch. :D

I really really really hope this works out this fall. So many people I want to see but I just ran the airfare costs and it's insane. If I do a roundtrip ticket in/out from the same city it's $2200. If I fly in one city, and out of another on separate tickets, it's $4400. Wtf?
