I just want to point out that in Islam, we don't believe that the everything was created in days that consist of 24-hour periods. The Arabic word 'yawm' is often translated as 'day' but a more correct translation would be a period of time. In other parts of the Quran, Allah tells us that a day is equal to 50,000 years of our time etc.

No Muslim would tell you tell you Islam says that the Universe and all that it contains was literally created in one week.
