Have I read this first part of this before? Or am I delusional?

This is a really good chapter, Adam. The action moves along well and it was very easy for me to picture what everyone was doing. I thought you did a good job making the narrative portions reflect the different ways your characters speak. I finally found out what happened to Ichigo and Rukia (boo, killing off Rukia!), I loved Ishida being so noble, I liked Orihime developing a spine, and I felt sorry for Renji. (Really, Renji hasn't gotten ONE BIT stronger? Come one, throw the guy a bone).

And poor Karin.

Also, what's with Hollow Ichigo's right-arm fetish? Or is that just a coincidence?

I really enjoyed reading this and look forward to the rest of it. Soon?

Uh, you shouldn't have read the first part before, seeing as how I never posted it anywhere online before yesterday. Maybe it's similar to something else you've read.

And phew, in regard to your opinion that the action moves well. It was my intent when I wrote this chapter to focus the action onto a single point (Ichigo confronting Karin), and I thought I did that well, so it's nice to hear a positive reception. Killing Rukia was a bit necessary, sadly, since it explains why Ichigo has gone off the deep end (and why Renji is so angry and so on). And Renji gets the shaft, yeah, I know, since I put him in a thankless, antagonistic role.

Do both Urahara and Chad get their right arms injured? Hmm, I know I had Chad get his right arm injured because his defensive abilities stem from his uber right arm, so he reacted instinctively to Ichigo's attack by raising that arm (the uberness of said arm is why his limb was bent instead of cut clean off...and nope, I didn't describe this stuff in the chapter). As for Urahara, I guess that arm got

I think you know by now that I have nothing but good things to say about this series. Suffice to say I'm looking forward to how all of this wraps up, as I can't even begin to guess at how this will all turn out.
