I met Dino Rossi again today. He came to speak at the UW and I went to see him. I'm still pretty much enthralled by the guy, he's just got that spark about him that sets him above every other politician out there. For lack of a better description, he's the Republican Barrack Obama ( Read more... )

What a positive example of a man he is. I hope he runs again so I can support him again, perhaps I will do more than just vote like misterkickass did (he helped with the recall). I'm glad you had a good time and got to meet him again!

Um, how is Rossi, a 2-term State Senator and now real estate salesman slash potential Washington State Governor candidate, in fact anything like Barack Obama, who is a rising star on the national political stage and likely a strong candidate for president?

Because Rossi does his best to operate outside the political boundaries of partisanship, as so many of Obama's asskissers hail him for doing as well. That's why he's supposed to be so wonderful, and if Dino Rossi can walk that line, I don't see any reason not to compare the two ( ... )

Don't be too happy reading too much into being an enemy of The Slog (ie. reading it as an indication you are doing something right if you disagree with the politics of The Stranger) as both KUOW and Lyndon LaRouche are enemies and Andrew Sullivan and The Weekly are friends of the Slog when clearly they are not.
