Dude. We actually agree on something. We should have a beer sometime.

I'm not at all in favor of these fools, but I agree that the actual predators are not getting caught here. It's foolish guys who are getting led on by people into acting out their fantasy. Fantasy is fantasy, and these guys are being led to try and make that fantasy into reality. Not that they weren't potentially predisposed to do so in the first place, it just seems a bit to John Stossle / 20/20 to me. Kind of like the kid that got bit by a shark in 2004 causing a huge shark scare in Florida...turns out it was the 8th shark bit that year, up from the average of 7/year (omg!)--but the media ran with it and all of a sudden Florida had a shark problem.

Also, I've seen billboards around that indicate something like 1 in 5 children have been solicited online. But your kid doesn't get solicited surfing the net unless they're in a chat room or something like that...you're not just checkin MySpace when BAM! solicited by a predator..c'mon.

Yeah.. The first year they did the show, almost all the predators were let go, due to entrapment laws and such. Even today, some are still thrown out. Now, they do the show in states with looser entrapment rules, and so many guys sit there and confess while eating milk and cookies with the host.. If they'd keep their damn yaps shut, entrapment would probably stick

I do also agree that they are getting the amateurs. The one or two time guys. The diehard, really bad ones are avoiding this like the plague.

Well that's quite interesting. I'm sure there is a lot of preparation that goes into this show. They'e got to make sure they're in a state where they can nab these guys.

The tragic thing is that you can be arrested for chatroom sex talks only in some states. Kind of takes the wind out of the sails of the whole premise of this show to me.
