Turkey cull in England.

Feb 07, 2007 09:45

160,000 turkeys were killed because of human greed.

Bird flu becomes a human problem because of the disgusting conditions in poultry farming.

If it becomes a pandemic it will be the fault of everyone who is involved from farmer to consumer.

Most humans don't give a damn about animal welfare but how many human deaths will force a rethink?

However long it takes it's likely to happen to save their own skin other than any thoughts for the suffering of animals.

Humans are so selfish so it will probably take many deaths to apply pressure to make people rethink the consequencies of their actions.

That story just broke my heart. If we all stopped eating meat the world would be such a better place. *sigh*

I believe that too and not just because it would end the horror for billion of animals but because I think people would also change for the better.

Yes, Adam, YES. THANK YOU so much for taking the time to say this.

And TPTB are *surprised* at this? I don't think so.

The news footage makes me SICK.

Also, some of my colleagues were expressing concern over the turkey's deaths. They are all meat-eaters, so I was mystified - the birds were going to die anyway!! Does the fact they might be sick change things! *Aud shrugs in disbelief*

Thanks.

Everything is so corrupt, money and greed rules everything.

Me too.

I know how you feel. They are such hypocrits. *hugs*

Most humans are selfish, ignorant and cruel enough to wait until they lose someone close to them before they stop to think at all.

It wouldn't be so bad if it only killed meat eaters rather than those of us who respect all life.

I agree and it is proven over and over in many situations.

Lol.
